ANY HOBBIES OR SPECIAL TALENTS?

Live Performance: from young on I was involved in Musicals (The Newsies was my first) and Choir (Bohemian Rhapsody, who wouldn’t love performing) which has given me a passion and appreciation for live talent. My most recent concert: Erika Jayne “It’s Expensive to be Me”. Design: I often, who am I kidding - always find myself pulling inspiration from some of my favorites; Nate Berkus, Josh Young, and Jeff Trotter to mention a few. I’ll rearrange my studio every other week, the slightest tweaks make all of the difference. And often give you a new appreciation for what you have! Image: My background comes from Cosmetology. So you’ll notice my hair in continuous rotation. New color, cut and or texture, you name it - I've tried it! Your look is a direct reflection of who you are before you open your mouth. And I LOVE THAT!

WHAT DRIVES YOU?

Surrounding myself with like-minded individuals. In our generation, there are so many young individuals pursuing unique, creative outlets. A good friend of mine has a jewelry boutique, where she curates custom designs for people around the world (Now that’s hard work). I have another friend who is a mom of 2, a wife, and is writing her first book! I mean... come on, that’s inspiring!

HOW DO YOU DEFINE YOUR STYLE?

I would define my style as eclectic. I adore a good vintage find, paired with a crisp new accent. I’ll often find myself gravitating towards vintage sweaters, blazers and unique accessories.

IF YOU HAD A BAND, WHAT WOULD THE NAME BE? WHAT GENRE?

If I had a band - it would be dance-pop.... and our name would be “No Sleep”.

WHICH PAST ERA INTRIGUES YOU THE MOST AND WHY?

My favorite era... well I have two. Design based: Art Deco. It’s such a timeless time - transitioning through 1920’s to 30’s. When you move through Chicago you often see many elements influenced by the era. Fashion based: 1970's. The form and fit were so perfect! From the tapered pants to button-up shirts. Can we bring it back?!

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ART PIECES IN YOUR APARTMENT?

My favorite selections in my apartment are my prices of art. I found an amazing black and white dance book from half-priced books; I’ve selected images that speak to me to place in frames throughout my space. And they’re the easiest to change out when I’m ready.

ON FRIDAY NIGHTS YOU CAN FIND ME...

Usually on Friday nights you can find me with a glass of wine, 9/10 times Merlot and a box of chocolate. Hahaha.

WHY CHICAGO?

Chicago is the 3rd of the largest cities in the US. So it was a perfect transition, sticking in the Midwest - near family and also continuing with the change of seasons.

I JAM OUT TO …

I jam out to anything that has a solid beat that I can snap to. Currently on rotation I have; So Real (Warriors) featuring Jess Glynn, Cloud Party by MUTO, and I Told You by Nora Van Elken.
