How do I apply?
First, create a FLATS® account by clicking the Apply link at the top of the page. Select a move-in date, FLATS® property, unit number and lease length.
Why am I getting an error when I try to register and apply?
Please make sure that you are accurately entering the correct unit number and move-in date. If the unit number and move-in date don't match up with our system, you will receive and error. Contact FLATS® Leasing with any questions: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Am I guaranteed the unit that I looked at?
We'll make this short and sweet. No. Every unit is first come first serve. We recommend applying immediately if you are interested in a unit.
Why only four months out from today?
Trust us, it's easier that way. We start showing 90 days out. So, actually, we've given you an extra month to get your stuff together. You're welcome.
I submitted an application. How long does it take to be accepted or denied?
There is no rule of thumb for this. Once you are accepted or denied, you will receive an email from FLATS® informing you of your status. If you do not hear from us within 48 hours, please contact leasing email@example.com.
Do you have detailed floor plans?
We do, but not on our website. If you would like a closer look at our spaces, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. However, the FLATS® Creative team asks that you spend a little time admiring their detailed "general" illustration floor plans on the individual property pages. They spent a lot of time on them and take their line work very seriously!
I am a current FLATS® resident, but I can not log on. What do I do?
Try harder? Just kidding! We've got your back. Follow these three action items, in order. 1) First, you must register. Click the link for how to register. 2) If you have already registered and cannot log in, please try resetting your password. 3) Still having trouble? Not a problem. Contact email@example.com.
What is this Resident Portal that you speak of?
Call it what you want, but this is your gateway to avoiding late fees, resolving outstanding maintenance issues and everything and anything in between. Did we mention it was pretty to look at too?
How do I pay my rent?
All rent is paid directly through your resident portal. Click the key icon at the top of the page, log in to your account, and select 'Payments' from your dashboard. From there, you can either set up auto payment (to take the worry off our shoulders) or pay monthly using either a credit card, debit card or bank account.
Why is there a fee for paying with a credit card?
If it were up to us, we'd wave the fee and send you on your way. However, we have zero control over this. Apologies in advance.
Why did I receive a late fee?
You didn't pay your rent on time. So, a little bit of friendly advice ... pay your rent on time. Late fees appear on the 6th of each month.
I am having trouble paying my rent, what do you suggest I do?
Do not panic or make a scene. Instead, reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org
Why do I see my roommates activity when paying rent?
FLATS® residents have spoken and we made their wishes come true. No more, "hey, did you pay rent this month?" Or, "hey, you owe me more money this month because you drove your car up from your parents house and now we have a parking fee tacked on to our monthly cost." All activity in one place. Pay for you, not for them. However, if the sum is not paid in time, there will be a late fee.
How do I submit a maintenance request?
All maintenance requests are to be submitted through your resident portal. Click the key icon at the top of the page, log in to your account, and select 'Maintenace' from your dashboard. From there, select the appropriate category, comment on the issue and submit.
I have a maintenance emergency, what should I do?
If you have a maintenance emergency, please call: +1 (866) 977 0569. If it is a life threatening emergency, please dial 911.
