What are your hobbies or special talents?
I draw, I design, and I make electronic music.
What's your morning routine?
Wake up, lay there for twenty minutes, O.J.
How do you tale your coffee?
Black. Over Ice.
Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
Both. I can get up on stage or I can disappear for days.
If I'm not at home you can find me...
Any number of comic or collector shops around the city, flea markets, or antique stores. I like to collect a range of things. Mostly small trinkets. Collecting is a way of learning history through an object.
If you had a band, what would its name be? What genre?
I did, it was Sauce Transportation. We made electronic music.
What's your favorite festival in Chicago?
I think this is where I'm an introvert.
Do you regularly check the weather or do you wing it?
Wing it; no umbrella; sweatshirt in bag.
Do you read the book first or wait for the movie to come out?
The only time I've ever compared movie and book was Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Movie first - then read the book with Hunter S. Thompson talking in my head.
I went to a joint portfolio day when looking for art schools. I interviewed with five west coast schools and SAIC. I tried to leave the Midwest, but SAIC appealed to me the most. I've been here for about 10 years now.
Describe your perfect date.
Picnic on the lake with my girlfriend.
Do you have a four-legged roommate?
No. Every now and then I'll watch my friend's cat. His name is Mies Van der Cat.
